About HorseCriteria

Equestrian gear only works when it fits: a saddle must clear the withers and suit the horse's back, a helmet must meet a current standard and sit correctly, and a blanket's weight should match the weather and the horse's coat. HorseCriteria explains those fit rules and compares gear on them.

We cover English and Western tack, rider apparel and safety gear, horse clothing and protection, grooming, and barn and stable equipment. Common companion pets belong to PetCriteria. For saddle fit, have a qualified saddle fitter assess your horse; for health questions, ask your veterinarian.
